Join the Smith College Club of Los Angeles for a refreshing hike and tour at the innovative Puente Hills Landfill Park!

The area was given a new life after the landfill closed in 2013 after 57 years of use. What stands now is a sprawling state-of-the-art concept that prioritizes personal wellness, environmental stewardship, and the celebration of diversity found within LA County and the San Gabriel Valley.

There are 2 ways to participate in this event. Hikers can meet at the trailhead at 9 am for a moderate, guided hike and join for the presentation. If you don't want to hike, shuttles leave at 10:25 am to take you to the top of the park for a presentation.
