In February, the Pasadena Book Club will be discussing The Sympathizer, by Viet Thanh Nguyen. According to The New York Times, this novel about the Vietnam War, "brings a distinct perspective to the war and its aftermath." A thriller, with a touch of absurdist humor, this novel follows a Vietnamese spy navigating life between Los Angeles and Vietnam.
