The Club
SCCLA is proud to be a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. We organize activities throughout the Los Angeles area, from the San Fernando Valley to the South Bay, host various events to bring local alumnae and/or prospective students together, and initiate annual fundraising for the club's Scholarship Fund.
The mission of the Smith College Club of Los Angeles is to develop, maintain and strengthen the connection between all Smith alumnae in our area. The goal is to enhance the prestige of Smith College and to increase the recognition that this educational experience is of superior benefit to women.
Board of Directors
Elections to board positions, normally for two-year terms, are held annually at the end of the Club's fiscal year in June. The Club President may make appointments to fill vacancies throughout the year. To encourage Club members to be active on the Board, monthly meetings are scheduled on weekends, and e-mail and social media is used to facilitate communication.
